History

The Service League of Battle Creek was organized December 3, 1935. In 1948, the Service League became the Junior League of Battle Creek when it joined the Association of Junior Leagues International, a federation of over 296 leagues in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and England.

The Junior League of Battle Creek has contributed more than $558,300 to the Battle Creek Community since 1935.

The Junior League of Battle Creek consists of over 250 active and sustaining members.  Its members serve on many community boards and agencies.

The Junior League of Battle Creek reaches out to all women (regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity) who demonstrate an interest and commitment to voluntarism.

The Junior League has an Endowment Fund at the Battle Creek Community Foundation to ensure the continuity of the Junior League organization and to sustain our community projects.  For more information on the JLBC Endowment please call the Foundation at (269) 962-2181.
